Tonight, members of Company 20 gathered to review chimney fires. The training covered chimney construction and effective tactics for handling chimney fires. As cold weather approaches, the frequency of chimney fires increases. As a reminder, if you have any type of wood-burning stove, it should be inspected and cleaned annually to help prevent fires.

Members kicked off December with a focused extrication drill. During the exercise, crews practiced tool familiarization, vehicle stabilization, and extrication techniques using two vehicles set up in different scenarios.

🚨SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN🚨

Santa, escorted by the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company, will be visiting the neighborhoods of Jefferson on the following nights (weather permitting). We will leave the station promptly at 6 PM each night for the parade. We apologize, but we are not able to visit every street in the area and are only able to do our first due area.
